iProcureNet will be present at the Security Research Event (SRE) 2019, held from 6-7 November 2019 in Helsinki.
The SRE is co-organised by the European Commission and the Ministry of the Interior in Finland as a side event of Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
This year’s theme “Towards Increased Synergies Between Different Funding Schemes and Market Uptake” will be explored by the high-level panel on the first day of the SRE 2019. The panel will gather high-level policy makers, industry representatives and researchers who will debate the notion that security research is not a stand-alone process, and that it is necessary to establish structured links between different funding instruments to achieve the desired market uptake of positive research outputs.
On the second day of the event, six thematic panels will cover issues such as terrorist content online, border security, artificial intelligence, disaster management, hybrid threats and immediate procurement.
